“ I was stuck in Chicago for 3 days due to some bad weather. As I shook off the cold the bar was warm and inviting. Heather promptly took my drink order along with my fellow compatriots. The following 2 days heather and Claire took exceptional care of me anytime I visited the bar. Absolutely wonderful experience and will recommend to any traveler headed to Chicago's union station ”
“ We had a fantastic happy hour at this restaurant! We had delicious nachos and drinks and our server Claire was super attentive and outgoing. Our food and drinks came quick, definitely will come back for happy hour! ”
“ If you're looking for a family-owned, cozy tavern and grill , Dylan's in the West Loop area of Chicago is a great place to go! It has excellent food and is conveniently located just one block from Union Station. Dylan's has the best Cajun chicken sandwich I have ever had. The Cajun seasoning complemented the chicken without overpowering the flavor of the chicken. The sandwich was served on a sesame seed roll with tomato slices, lettuce, red onion, and cheese. It came with a dill pickle spear and a side of perfectly seasoned fries. My server, Alexa, brought a side of aioli for the fries. It made them pop with a little extra flavor. Alexa was an excellent server. She was very attentive and friendly. Her cheerful, positive attitude showed that she clearly enjoyed her job. It was refreshing. I enjoyed chatting with her after my meal. People are quick to complain and slow to compliment. Since I like to be the other type of customer, I spoke with the owner, George, about my positive experience. He was very friendly and appreciated my feedback on my entire dining experience. We had a nice, long conversation. Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire team at Dylan's managed to keep the business afloat. That says a lot. George said this is their 24th year in business. I now have a favorite place to get a bite to eat and feel as though I am among friends when I take the train to Chicago. Thank you George, Alexa, and the rest of the staff for making my dinner experience memorable! ”
“ Had no idea this bar was here as I went past it to Ogilvie Transportation Center. I made a note of it to come back some time. Dylan's is a fairly standard bar. Lots of typical beers and liquors. There's also standard food like burgers, and healthier choices such as hummus. After making plans for coming back with a few people, it was one of the stops at happy hour. It often has a few specials going on. There's usually some good prices on wells. It's about $7 at regular price. That's about as good as you can get in The Loop it seems. Also we had an appetizer. We got the Hummus Done Right. It's about $9 for a lot of hummus with things to dip in it. Not sure if it's done right. There were cucumbers, pitas, and tomatoes. Other food items include things such as burgers. They also have fish and chips. Basically a better than average dive bar. It's a great place for stopping before or after Ogilvie Transportation Center. The prices aren't the best but these aren't terrible. ”
